Returning Player ~ A few questions :)

I'm just now returning to the game (only because they're finally releasing some new classes/jobs) and it seems it's a good time to be playing again. So I had a few questions.

Leveling: when it came to leveling back near release the main form of leveling (of you wanted to do it fast) was grinding FATE's (after I while I wanted go insane dealing with those things). So my main question is is that still the main way to level? Or did they finally even it out between side quests, story, and dungeons? (Please final fantasy gods say it's changed @-@)

Community: How is the community now? When I was last here it was like a civil war between PC and PS3 players at all times. So have things gotten better with the release of the PS4 or no? I ask this because the stereotype was you can tell who is a ps3 player and who wasn't because of the delay, and only the good ones couldn't be told apart if they were PC or PS3 unless they willingly told them.

Content: compared to around October/November of last year, is the content better than it was? And has grouping and doing raids gotten a bit easier? With the exception of the most recently released Turns and Crystal Tower (the challenge was great back in release, I'm just curious if they keep the challenge for the newer content and make the older content easier or not).

And last: Are there any good/great PS4 Linkshells/Free Companies? I switched from PS3 to PC to PS4 and was curious if there are any guilds specifically for the PlayStation or not.

Leveling: Your main form of exp is mostly from dungeons/ low level duty roulette (basically random dungeons with bonus exp, which can be complete once a day).

Community: Honestly, I don't encounter much about the whole PS3 vs PC thing. Though regardless of what system you have, you will be kicked if you don't perform well in certain parties.

Content: New coil, and new CT coming out in a month. First coil and CT is free for all to access with no lockout. 2nd coil and CT2 will remain weekly lockout until it gets outdated.

They have balanced leveling to the point almost nobody does fates except to get their Atma's done these days. The primary way I've seen people leveling is farming dungeons, and supplementing the queue times with fates in the middle. In addiction there are also weekly challenge logs that give you an insane amount of experience for completion and those reset weekly. (Tuesday at 1AM PST I think)

I haven't seen any issue with PS3 vs PS4 vs PC really. It always came down to whether or not you could hold your own in my experience. So I can't really comment on that since I've never seen that to begin with. (Except at really really early release)

Content has really been lackluster and slow moving at best. In place of actual content they've sort of taken the habit of giving you ridiculous grinds (see atma and myth farm) and lockouts (Coil/CT) to fill in the gaps. Raiding has gotten easier in coil as are primals with the echo buff. In fact gearing up is as easy as ever with turn 1-5 coil lockout being removed. If you have any luck with rolls you can skip myth farm entirely and get your characters geared from coil exclusively.

To the topic of PS4 link shells, I've never really seen anything relating to that, because again at the end of the day it comes down to how much you can hold your own in my experience. I know a few people I play with regularly switch between Console and PC without issue.

Leveling : dungeons are the best way now. Of course if you are a dps and not grouped with at least a tank or a heal you might be doing some fates, or leves while waiting duty finder.

Community : 90% don't care and didn't care about any hatred (yeah I made up the percentage but you have 2 millions accounts and I haven't seen a forum thread that counted 10K different users arguing, and even so that wouldn't be representative) Community the same, nice and neutral are majority and you have the few toxic that make a lot of noise.

Content : I like the game so I am biased. Old content is easier, you get echo buff (some you have to at least survive 3minutes before getting the buff and for Coil 1 you get the buff directly entering the instance) but With the new content you have a little drawback, people that used to farm old instance moved to the new so you have bit less coordinated team.

GL finding your FC, there are some specialised in PS4 :)

Leveling : Duty Roulette and dungeons are more faster now, but the good old Fate/leve grind still works too but not effective as dungeons now.

Community : Never seen any console wars in game before but these days people are all about mythology tome grind and people looking for static here and there. Most people expects you to be very good at your class nowadays but if you're not too hardcore on this it's fine since there are still people who plays the game casually.

Content : It's all about Second Coil nowadays, first coil is now doable without the need of static so you can actually gear up with loots from T1-T4 without much problem. People still do Crystal Tower now but not as often as myth tome no longer have cap so they can skip the CT ilvl80 for the myth ilvl90.
