As was answered in Live Letter XV, the item level for the Crystal Tower in 2.3 is slated to be 100. However, I do think that it would be more appealing in the long run if this was adjusted to 105, and I will explain why.
1. Players who have collected all their i100 soldiery gear will only have the incentive to obtain their Oil and Sands of Time for the week. This may result in very limited runs for the average player.
2. For anyone progressing and/or clearing the Second Coil of Bahamut, the i100 gear will either serve as a temporary upgrade until a Sands of Time is obtained or not even an upgrade at all.
3. Depending on the secondary stats of each item, certain i105 pieces may even serve as an upgrade over existing i110 pieces (Ex. CRT > DET/PIE/SS for SCH). Again, this provides more incentive for players to run the new CT more often.
If anyone has other pros and cons to add to this list, please list them below. I will be sure to update this thread with further discussion.

I think a better Idea would be to keep them item level 100, but upgradable with oil/sand in the same way the soldiery gear is. This gives you incentive to collect gear so it can be upgraded later, and a bigger variety of 110 gear.

Can't people see the item level progression is just like the original CT. You had Coil 1 and myth gear at 90, with darklight and crafted at 70. They stuck CT gear right in between at 80. You could use that gear to gear up your main or alts until you got enough myth or a drop from coil. The new items for CT are giving the exact same thing. Coil 2 and soldiery = 110, current myth and crafted gear = 90. So the logical step would be for them to be 100. This will provide a way to gear up alts that you haven't spent soldiery on or taken through coil 2. It all works out in the end. Even if you are not passing t7 or t8 yet, the CT gear might be better for you than the soldiery.
