When crafting upraded items like "Vintage Hoplon", I have the required "Tarnished Hoplon" but it won't let me select it so I can craft the Vintage Hoplon.

When crafting upraded items like "Vintage Hoplon", I have the required "Tarnished Hoplon" but it won't let me select it so I can craft the Vintage Hoplon.
If I remember right, it has to be in your inventory, and not in your armoury gear.
