conjurer needing help?

since this patch it seems i cant even kill 1 mob without going out of mana.... the option of spamming spirit dart is gone and im forced to cast spells non stop or i auto attack for 20... at my level what should my spells be doing? theyre only doing like 2-300 and its taking forever to kill mobs. i use a shield and a wand and i figured having to cast heal after being hit twice was part of playing a conjurer... but i just go OOM anymore.

im new to the game and this patch is very very frusturating.. wishing i was NOT conjurer.

Lol hey there my friend. I think the large MP costs are a trial/error thing on SE's part. You can more than likely expect these costs to be around half as much soon if the community continues to voice there opinion about it. For some spells anyway.

My best advice right now, is to pick up another class, the great thing about the final fantasy online titles, is that you are not subject to play only one class. Until the pending adjustments are made, if any.

If you want a clear cut reason why they are the way they are, is more than likely because SE was trying to capture the Mages roll as a healer/assist class very definitively, and in doing so, nerfed there solo capabilities so that they would be more reliant on groups, which in tern, would cause them to seek parties.

Try looking at your stats. Put more points into your MND and INT.

Yeah, I'm a rank 50 CON and I've had to budget my MP a lot more. The Spirit Dart/Elemental Shroud/Nature's Fury recasts are annoying.

To help you with your MP recovery, you might want to level some THM. You get Stygian Spikes at rank 16 (umbral spikes that steal MP from attacking enemies) and Siphon MP at rank 20 (transfers a portion of the target's MP to you, amount of MP increased when cast on a KO'd target). Also, there's Tranquility/Exhalation whenever it's available.

Or just stop playing the class altogether. Making a class not fun to play isn't the way to make them available for parties.

Buy some +2 or +3 weapon...

may help you a little

I am sure some poor kid who is new to the game won't be able to afford a decent +2 and up weapon. Crikes - just the basic elemental wands are really expensive.

no i had really good items, all lvl 22 optimal and a 22 optimal maple branch. about 50 int 40 piety. but i could only kill 1 mob really before i go oom... mobs my level were hitting me for 1/4 my hp with a shield.

so i deleted it and made a pugilist to try out auto attack, and its a much "much" better experience.

i know you can just change class but i wanted to start over because i was so upset at how conjurer had become, especially when i had pretty much best in slot for level 18.
