Who Plays Class at level 50?

Hi guys, I am not a frequent poster but i could not find the answer to my question after an extensive search on the forums and google.... Does anyone play with their class anymore after getting level 50? if so...why and when? I know that they can be for solo but does anyone even bother changing back to their classes???

I just dinged level 50 warrior and i realized that I have never once felt a need to un-equip my soul stone since i hit level 30. Please help me shed some light on the subject.

It's up to the player actually, I've seen countless people doing just that and even in PF where it's classes only (including coil and other endgame content).

If you do Solo-Content, the "Class" would be an better option. However, beside Alexandrite Maps ( little challenge for some maps ), there is no real Content which would be challenging enough to go as Class.... yet. For Party-Content the Class is inferior to a Job, which is meant for Party Content. This goes for PvE Content, while i "heard" that Classes can be really awesome in PvP as well.

At the moment the only time I can think of where a Class is potentially more beneficial than a Job, is using a DPS Marauder in T8.

Other than a few specific classes in PvP, probably not.

The few cross-class skills you can get will not make up for the loss of job specific skills and the stats boost by using a soulstone.

And yet if you do Alexandrite fates as a class you wont get very far :P

Considering I've gotten all relic weapons and that my weapon compartment in the armoury chest is already nearly full just with that + having to keep a weapon around for every other class, nope.

I'd say that Marauder is more useful for soloing than Warrior pre-45. Using Defiance is pretty pointless solo and just makes stuff take longer to kill, while with Marauder you get access to abilities that help you live longer (Protect) and boost your damage.

Warrior only really starts to be better for soloing when you start getting the Warrior specific equipment that Marauder can't wear. The stuff that Marauder can also wear is typically harder to get than the WAR specific stuff. But once you're rocking those the stuff you solo melts easily anyway.
