In-game GM Support

Just the other day on Friday (6/6/2014) I was attempting to purchase the house deed for my fc's plot. But I was getting the message: "Unable to renovate. A character is in the way."

I looked around but no one was on the plot. I even backed all the way up to make sure it wasnt me. Well it happened to be there was a player standing on the fence above my plot. The location is The Mist and my FC's plot is 26 and the other plot was 29 that the player was on. The plot is directly above and behind plot 26.

I went up to plot 29 and stood where the other player was. I wasnt getting the message that you cant be in a renovation zone and there was enough room for me to step over till the invisible wall blocked me from going down cause of the renovation zone.

I waited 2 hours for the player to move but he was afk the whole time. I decided to call on a GM had to wait another hour till I got a response. GM asked what the situation was and the name of the player. Gave him all the information just for him to tell me he could not relocate the afk player. Even if it was only to the entrance of the estate he was on, or over a feet or two. The GM told me I would have to wait for the player to return until I could buy my house deed and place the house. Which I found ridiculous cause Ive seen a video of a GM moving a dead afk player in an event.

I told the GM that it was a joke that he couldn't move an afk player who was impeding on my gameplay. I then requested to speak to someone above him since he failed to comprehend the situation. The GM proceeded to say they would put in a ticket of elevation. I told him that I better get a response quick cause I had already been waiting over an hour just to get his response.

Not only did I not get a response right away from someone. I just barely got a reply message in my support desk about it today. Which in my opinion is horrible support.

Now I dont know if this still holds cause I cant find it anywhere. But I remember reading that if an fc doesnt purchase a house deed within 30days they have to relinquish the land. Now if my fc was in that position and that day was the last day to purchase the deed. That would have been horrible support from the GM and would have made the FC lose all the money they had put into the plot of land. All over 1 afk player who was standing within range of the renovation zone that you cant even enter to begin with.

hate to break it to ya mate but that is how squares customer support is be thankfull you get a gm to even talk to you when i first bought the game at launch of 2.0 i had problems with codes not working error messages on the instal and even disks not being able to be read i called squares customer support only to be hung up on after exactly 1 hour this whent on for 5 days of trying to reach them and had to buy 3 coppies of the collectors eddition of the game then finally was stuck only able to play on the ps3 cause i bought a pc copy and when i linked my ps3 copy to my account it overwrote my pc copy of the game after number of tickets and number of phone calls more i finally whent out and bought 2 more coppies of the game just to make sure i could finally play the game and still to this day have never gotten a straight answer from any square employee in regards to that problem so just get used to the fact they cant do anything and there customer support sucks cause they dont really care one thing i will give blizzard they pay there customer support well and there customer support reps will take care of your problem as quickly as possible unlike square who would rather just ignore you and hope you go away

and fyi not hating on the game one bit as i love the game itself but there is no customer support and no care to ever have it from what square has shown all they care bout is your money after that you can fly a kite in a lightning storm as far as they care

...you were incredibly lucky to even get a GM to show up in the first place. Sorry they didn't do jack for you, though.
