Boot Camp Tap To Click Issue?

If I enable tap to click on my trackpad for the Apple Boot Camp, only while in-game the first click seems to be treated like a "click and hold" (Like if I tap-to-click over an item the item will stick to my mouse as if I were dragging it). If I double tap quickly it treats it like a somewhat delayed single normal click, but this is neither optimal nor easy to use.

I am only using this mac as a temporary solution while my other computer is being moved, so please do not post smart remarks like "buy a new computer", because I already have.

The tap to click works just fine and functions as normal outside the game. Has anyone had this happen or found a way to make the tap to click in-game to function like a normal mouse press?
