Marking the map
While exploring trying to locate the vistas for the sightseeing log, I got the idea for a feature that could compliment it. Since the vistas can't be cleared unless you're there at the right time of day, during the right weather (btw, that's a discussion for another thread), it would be nice if we could mark the map.
Placing notes of some kind on the map, small pins or whatever, as a reminder to ourselves where they are. Or maybe possible locations to check out later, etc.
I think this could strengthen the feeling of exploration, and might be useful if people are making notes outside the game anyway. :)

Isn't that why each area has coordinates?
I have a pen and pad for any reciepes/info etc works great for me

So do I, and I use them everytime I work the markets. But I am trying to suggest something for ingame, not out of game. To make the whole experience a bit more thorough and 'whole'. :)

Somewhat off topic, but I'd love it if they gave us a notepad in game, something we can make notes in and open when we need it. Originally something I wanted for Unspoiled Nodes and "shopping lists" for Cooking, but it should work for this too. Would be great for this if you could use the current Map Link feature to effectively mark the map, too. I'm sure RPers would love such a feature too... The Journal mod for Skyrim was pretty amazing in that regard...
Using Notepad or a physical list works just as well of course, but it's fairly annoying to have to turn/tab away from the game every few moments to check it. Having it incorporated to the game would be an amazing QoL adjustment.

So far, I've only found two but I took the liberty to get to the spot and screen shot it. Renamed the picture to Impressions ???, give a small description for yourself need be on a piece of paper (labeled and all) and you're done. :)
But what you're suggesting isn't a bad idea.
