Fisher main tool caps fixed?

Before the patch i melded this for my retainer

except that the materias were NOT obviously +0. So i'd like to know if anyone else had this problem. Eventually i'd like an official answer.

For all gear, HQ crafted is at or near caps for every stat on it. Otherwise tanks would have ilvl70 accessories with 5 VIT IV materia on each, for a total of +50 VIT per slot instead of the ilvl100/110 which have VIT +18/21

It's listed as a current known issue with Materia on fishing equipment resetting to +0 on lodestone

Well, to be truthful, it IS still kind of a waste of money. Once you obtain your Forager's Rod, you can just hand your Halcyon over to your Retainer to meet the Gathering requirement for the highest ventures. I guess this is reasonable, though, if you don't plan on getting a Forager's (it is, admittedly, a royal pain), or if you have multiple FSH retainers.

It hurts so bad to imagine how many Guerdon III's you burned through for that second Overmeld. @_@

I would just get a foragers rod for my retainer so that way you wouldn't have to worry about melds and eventual new levels in retainer ventures.

of course I don't have a fisher retainer but my miner and botanist retainers are high melded with foragers tool and head gear.
