No pain, no gain
Oh look, another Atma thread.
You must be going insane.
To even take you seriously with a name like that would be a joke and it's not that bad of a grind.... working on my second one and i have done it casually
Good for you. I "casually" tossed my first book, having realized the time I spend completing it would not help me accomplish any endgame goals, let alone get the necessary tomes for the next book, thus essentially creating gaps in progression that would force me to temporarily stop one grind in favor of another, only to return to said grind which, again, only repeats itself. THEN there's the Novus quest line and whatever it entails. I don't know, I don't care to know. I don't care for the Zodiac Saga entirely now. Zenith WAS tedious, but it was actually a challenge. This is mindless repetition without necessary skill, while hoping to get lucky. A grind for the sake of having a grind. Fluff, and repetitious at that. So essentially, yes it's insanity.
I am not a hamster, and this game is not a wheel to run for any reason.
I fully agree. I saw what it took to gain the atma relic weapon and all my enjoyment of the game fled. I became so disappointed that a game I had enjoyed so much had become a venue to encourage power players. I'm not saying that Square should remove the later relic weapons but there needs to be a better way to earn them so that it doesn't become a testament to insanity.
You think the atma grind is bad? Try the Alexandrite grind.
12/12 atmas =16 hours
0/75 Alexandrite = 22 hours and counting
Oh gee, this is freaking fun.
