Too much Gil

Hi

I have made over 400,000 Gil from the market place but I'm not quite sure what to do with it. I know I can buy a property but what else is there to buy with the Giil?

I'm wondering if I should stop making stuff as I already have too much Gil ???

What you use Gil for depends on you!

The costs for the materia for your relic weapons will run you about 100k for the two, on my server (along with another 20-30k for the weapon itself), so you could always put it towards getting yourself a full relic set. Or for paying for your FC's set! You could also use it to buy iLvl 55 PvP gear, or various HQ pieces of crafted gear as an alternative to farming Myth/Soldiery.

You could also continue saving for personal housing, although it won't be until at least 2.4 that it's implemented (FC housing does currently exist, will cost you an arm and a leg even for a small plot, but personal rooms will be added to that in 2.3). Yoshi P has indicated that for personal housing, "850k won't be enough", although only time will tell whether that remains the case by the time it comes out.

If you want to raise even one crafting class, sink that money towards Craftsman's materias to upgrade your level 50 crafter gear - it's the ONLY way to continue advancing post-50, and even just a single Craftsmanship IV or especially Control IV materia can run you 150-200k on Adamantoise.

That might also be enough to buy a carry through certain content (I know some have priced Titan EX at about 300k, but that depends on server, runners, etc.)

penta-melded 90 gear, that'll rob you of about 9mil
epic crafting gear could be another 3-5mil to cover everything
only people with stockpiled gil will buy personal housing, thats a gamble as we don't know whats gonna be in it but some people like the prestige
any new rare minions that you wanna collect etc.

i rarely find myself saying 'damn i need more gil', but theres plenty of stuff i could find to spend it on if i had it

Yeah plenty of stuff I could spend it on as well. Still waiting for personal housing - atm sitting on 2 mil - which as FC small houses are around there as well hope won't be really that much for a personal house.

penta meld all crafters, penta meld a dow/m ( coz u can? ) buy a house, put all cool shiz in there and....that's it. Unless u buy runs, ur just raising gil for the fun of it after that.

400,000 isn't that much, I could spend that rather quickly, unless that's a typo and you meant 400,000k

As KillyBamp said, 400k is not that much really (not trying to bring your hopes down....unless is a typo and you meant 4m gil).
I just crafted a Chef's chest, hands, pants and boots and I spent 500k on materia alone (more if I count the teleports to gather the materials needed).

I'll echo that materia for crafting/gathering can be expensive... And is required for their high level content.
