[Suggestion] bring the icon indicates yourself on the map/mini-map to the top

Currently the icon indicates myself on the map/mini-map is placed at the lowest layer.
So very often it will be covered by npc-icons or fate icons which have a largest size.

Since the icon indicates myself often is the smallest icon on the map, could you please consider to bring it to the top so it will not be covered by other icons in larger size?

It would be very helpful to players always get lost and rely on the map ^^;

It was like that originally - the player oval arrow blue icon was on the top layer but few patches back it's priority for some weird reason was decreased and now it's almost invisible in crowded areas or around fates and so on - very annoying! I've opened the bug report for that but it has just "dissapeared" in the black hole. This should be reverted to previous state / fixed. It would be also nice to have option in the settings to hide specific elements from map / minimap like fate (if you gathering / crafting those are pointless anyway) or quest markers in / bellow certain levels (let's running around with lvl 40+ to 50 characters I don't really need to see the wholy city "sparkling" with all those low level crappy quesst 1 - 10 or 15 etc.).

Well - not on the main character but as I play with 8 alts on the same server it will soon get VERY boring to run all those "go-and-fetch" side quests so basically yes I do ignore those but they bugger me being lvl50 on most of them already ...

In addition, the chocobo-icon is smaller and placed on top of my-blue-icon which shows the system is nice for this icon.
So I don't undersatnd why those FATE/NPC icons with relatively large size will put on the top of my-blue-icon and party-member-icons.

The main problem for me is I rely on the icon to recognize my facing direction, the facing effect (the cone ) on the map only shows the facing direction of the camera (screen) but not the character. Another problem is I will lost my chocobo location when we are "covered" by a FATE.

At the beginning I thought maybe FATE is considered as something terrible, so it covers the map and decreases my visibility on the map.
But later I found for example leveQ-NPCs also cover my-blue-icon then I think maybe just no one care for the layer setting. ^^;

Haha - that was the FIRST thing that I was thinking of reading the Q&A thread yesterday - shhhs - don't tell anyone ;) I've already started leveling the DoHs on alts last night - pretty easy actually having them all maxed on main - will just spam leves and get 6 out of 8 crafting tables - minus CUL and ALC as I can't squezze more than 6 in medium house plus those are both ridiculously easy to level up anyway - although I've decided to "master" the desynth on main on WVR so technically I'd not need table for that and could have one for ALC instead (which I like by look too) but I'll see ...
