Request for enhancement: Please make FF14 login independent of PSN

Dear developers,

if it is technically possible, can you modify the PS3/PS4 version so that login is possible even when the PSN is doing maintenance? Today is the 2nd time within a month when PSN performs maintenance (at least here in Germany) during the evening hours, and it effectively blocks my access of the game for a whole day since I can only play in the evening.

While I'm pretty sure it might be possible technically (although your SE service account is linked to your PSN account) it all depends on conditions / contract between Sony and SE so it might not be allowed because of that.

The only thing I can recommend as workaround is to login into the game at the morning before you leave to work / school. As long as you're in the game you don't need PSN anymore.

I don't think this is possible. There are a lot of network functions that are dependent on PSN, some of it are locked to the OS of PS4/PS3.

At least SE already made an effort that you only need PSN during login. In other games, you can't even play without PSN.

Yes it is very painful, hope the changes could be happened, or at least, PSN has to improve their reliability.

And in other games, you need to login TWICE!
