I'm not big on bringing stuff from XI in.

That being said, I would have no complaints if the gear models from the old Salvage sets turned up in Eorzea. Those were all pretty great looking.

There is a lot of content the Devs could bring over from FFXI. I'm not saying we need a FFXI-2, But this game needs some content. Yes Coils is great, Crystal Tower is great, But how long are we going to keep having to do Coils/CT? We have an alliance system we can't even take full advantage of. Not asking for Dynamis, but there was some pretty good 18 man content in FFXI. I wouldn't mind seeing some Legion Content, I think it would do pretty good in FFXIV for some 24 man content. Hell I wish they would have done Einherjar and put Odin there.

Yes its nice to see new creative content like Coils, But CT is taken for FFIII, Hunts from FFXII and whatever from whatever. All I'm saying is it ain't going to hurt this game to bring over some good content from FFXI, But I guess people would rather see content from WoW?

Can be because my head hurts and I'm not thinking clearly.

But you would need some relevant content for the items. Let's say they added Optical Hat to FFXIV, it would be weird if it didn't involve Hakutaku or how he/she/it is spelled.

he didn't ask to implement salvage gear into XIV but just the models.
we know that we get 3new dungeons each patch.
every time those dungeons come with new set of gear.
SE can just use salavge models for one patch of dungeons. same for an OH like hat.

It'd be wierd to a FFXI player, sure, but to the group that's played this game for a while, it would just be another hat. After all, even our crafting recipes don't really have much of of a 'reason' other than 'we learned to craft them'

And Gerolt's Masterworks have a story you'll only really know if you look into them. Otherwise, the current Soldiery gear just looks... Kinda awesome with no backstory.

I don't think he's looking to assign it a reason, or saying there needs to be a lack of one - but I think he's just saying "I hope they find a way to bring these models into the game, because I like them."

A pretty screeny would be good so that those who don't know these gears can see what you are talking about.
