[Urgent Implementation] Withdrawal Penalties

It was bad enough before, but has just gotten so much worse with the advent of win-trading in PvP (combined with the gross win-loss ratio:reward disparity).

During off-peak hours, I see it app the time... I wait 4 mins for a PvP Queue, pop, 7/8, withdrawal, repeat. Occurs numerous times over consecutively.

What is happening? Either bots/trolls or teams individually queuing over voice chat trying to land into the same arena for greater rewards.

It's gotta stop right away SE. Long overdue IMHO.


Related Issue: being unable to accept a queue for a class which you've switched out from & are stuck mid-craft/combat. It's currently often too risky to fight in many areas or craft while waiting for a queue... feels far too inhibiting, lacks freedom.

If they penalize people for withdrawing and don't also penalize waiting the timer out, people will do that instead and it will be all the more frustrating waiting 45 seconds every time to not get in.

If they penalize people for withdrawing and penalize them for waiting the timer out as well, you're forcing DD jobs to sit patiently at their PC for up to hours waiting under penalty if they miss the 45-second window. God forbid they have to go to the bathroom.

So just up the respond timer to 1 minute.

Also they can turn the sound up while they go potty.

Timing out is equal to a system-forced withdrawal, both should be penalized.

Not saying first-time withdrawal penalty either, perhaps after X consecutive withdrawals within Y minutes.

Penalizing consecutive withdraws seems like it would work without collateral damage. That's basically the entire problem anyway, as people might have a legitimate reason to withdraw once and rejoin in a few minutes, but not to do it 20 times in 60 seconds as we've seen.

Why has this not happened yet? It's epidemic.

I was concerned, then I saw it was about pvp then I didn't care anymore. ;)

Applies to a whole bunch of situations... that's just the example I chose.

Healers & tanks queueing-in-progress waiting to see that 2/3, withdrawing when they don't...

CT over and over and over and over and over again, etc.
