Gil Spammers on Zalera Out Of Control

There's a certain Gil spamming group that is simply out of control on Zalera. They are PM'ing the same text, and creating two new characters every 15 minutes to do so, such that my black list has grown by around 60 in the last two days.

I thought there was meant to be some form of auto filtering in place? I mean, really, how hard could it be for the system to flag any account sending out more than 10 PM's per minute to 10 or more different people, and if this behaviour persists for more than 3 minutes, then after issuing an in-game warning within the first minute such activity is detected, if it still persists (and tracking linked to the account, not the character) simply automatically eject that account's characters from the game and automatically suspend it.

It is utterly out of hand.

The RMT would just turn over the shout accounts even faster and the shouts won't slow down. They beat spam filtering by using a mess of random punctuation and leet speak and tagging a random sequence of numbers/letters at the start or end of every message so each post appears to the game to be a new message.

You know what...there might be a high chance someone in your server bought gil.

Once that happens, bells are rung and the spaming starts.

Report every one of them. GMs have been pretty fast banning them these days, at least on Moogle. The other day I had to report like 10 or so in less than an hour. Each one of them was banned before 20 minutes had passed, sometimes even after 5 minutes, and I was told that I could safely remove them from my blist by then. After I reported all those, they didn't bother me at all during the rest of the day.

As has been mentioned already, RMTs can and will find ways to bypass filters. I know that the current way to report them is less than ideal (really SE, make it easier to make such reports), but if you do they'll eventually give up for the day. Keep in mind that every time that they get banned they need to get another account, so at the very least if you report them you're giving them back the same annoyance that they give us with their tells.
