My last story quest was Back from the Wood it says complete. I should be on Shadow of Darkness but yet I cant pick it up from anyone. I spoke to Minfilia and she doesn't have a quest. I don't get it I went from every NPC listed on the google search for the quest. No one will talk to me. WHat's up with this quest why can't I do it?
After "Back from the Wood" I have "Tea for Three" in my journal. The starting NPC seems to be Gisilbehrt, but the log entry doesn't explicitly state that so I can't be sure.
Saw that too and tried to go to that NPC he wouldn't talk to me either.

One thing you can try if you haven't already is to both complete your level 30 class quest and rank up your Grand Company.
I did go up a rank in my GC and I also did the quest for my Job.
However still nothing. I put a ticket in and no reply. I really need some help.
Just looked it up in my log
/edit: Nvm me i just looked up the progression and it indeed is "Shadow of Darkness" after Back from the Wood, if already completed the Log will not show the correct order you get the quests in.
Anyways to find the error, do you have any other lvl 24 main Scenario quest in your log? Do you have any other lvl 24 main scenario, besides Back from the Wood, already completed in your log?

Back Wood shows as completed...I can see the clip too from the cut scene but right after that there is no quest available.
Are you checking your journal or the book in the inn?
The book in the inn only shows the quests with cut scenes. It won't show anything between Back From The Wood until Skeletons In Her Closet.
Check your journal (J) and go to Completed to see what you've actually done.
I did read the journal and then I figured I'd try going through the cut scene. I have to bugged its just really odd I can't pick up any story quest. I should be on Shadows every website I read says that's the next quest. I watched my step son go through the same process and the NPC gave him Shadows. Somehow I'm bugged and stuck.
