Creative Discussion Changes

Now I want everyone to break into groups of 3 and...wait no sorry. Not that type of creative discussion. O.o

The purpose of this thread is to post a idea on something in game you would like to be changed, but not just that.

How would it be changed?
Why would it be changed?
For what reason would it be changed?

So just answer those 3 questions for each topic posted. No limit here on what to post, just give your general idea on your own topic or a previous post topic and give your version on how you would like to see it changed.

Be mature and creative. Do not Bash anyone's view, just submit your own view of a change.

I can start us off.

Topic: Implementing a Mailing System.

How would I change it?

Well first off I would probably in each town have a mailing center, where "mail" from IG would be delivered by using Airships, Chocobos, or some other form of FFXIV transportation. This would go with the lord of the game.

Why would it be changed?

Well, for me I have items I would like to give to friends that they either need or want. However in a lot of cases they have either logged or are far away and we could be saving anima or short on it. So implementing a mailing system that adds a small downtime between mail sending/receiveing(15 min or so) would save people time and room as well as make players more interactive with others if they are willing to hold onto items longer just because a mailing system would give a immediate trade and not having to wait for the other player for sometimes 2-3 days.

For what reason would it be changed?

Well, I would personally just change like this changed so I can rid myself of items I been holding for linkshell members. However, there may be more reasons, like sending mats to a high ranking crafter to make you a item and they send it back. It could help boost the economy as well as player interaction.

What?: Lack of Variety; In terms of mobs and areas mostly. I do realize that content is on the way and entail this sort of substance. However, Grinding for weeks on end and winding up a couple of "yalms"(yea DoLs, I said it) from when i started at Rank 1, is a little dis-hearting and near impossible to hold interest.

Why?: General Immersion; Areas need to be diverse...period. The earth doesn't have 2 or 3 ecosystems and climates. I'm not saying we need a hundred, but enough to help you belief you're in another world.

Unfortunately I don't think this can be changed without adding a lot of new content so it won't be happening any time soon. But it is my number one problem with playing. Same areas for 50 levels + same mobs for 50 levels = no sense of progression.

What's the difference between "Why would it be changed?" and "For what reason would it be changed?"
