"Cannot use yet."

I want to disable this but can't find the option to do so.
I'm using the following macro:

This makes it so that I only have to press the one button for all three skills, and it works perfectly.
The macro isn't the problem.
The annoying "Cannot use yet." message that plays the awful error sound every time it goes through the cycle to find the nearest usable skill is.
I've disabled "Display recast timer error message." under Log Window settings and "Error Messages" under log filters, neither have worked.

First of all. Monks should NEVER be using macros for their GCD abilities, no ifs ands or buts about it. MNK has a reputation of the highest ST DPS class and using macros like such will never achieve that. It will hinder you much more then you would like, and from what I've heard this macro will fail occasionally and use Bootshine when you wanted to use True Strike

Second to answer your question: There should be options in the log options. I've never ran this macro, but from my experience with the infamous BRD macros, disabling the error messages has indeed worked. I don't remember exactly which since it's been ages since I've disabled them

Uh
My question was "How do I turn this off?", not "Should I be using macros as a MNK?"
I'll play MNK using macros if I want to. I've never had a problem with it before, and I really don't care about any reputation it might have.
And no, disabling error message hasn't worked. Which is kind of why I specifically said it didn't work.

The development team is continuing to look into making it so you can hide the error message display, and they are working to improve the user-friendliness of the game even more.

Disabling error seems to only work for direct actions buttons and not macro command errors. Just in case someone tells you it works for them and to do the same thing you've tried..

I dunno why you'd wanna use Macro's - I find it easy enough and I've not used Macro's for any class.
That being said, it is your choice. At least Camate replied nice and quick :)

i honestly don't understand how that macro is even working for you. without any wait timers, the only skill that would be executed is the first one. the others would be attempt to be activated while the GCD is still active. makes no sense to me. you need wait timers. unless you are just spamming the macro.

besides... macros are rather useless since they removed the ability to use decimal points in the wait timer. though they weren't very useful before either. you can't add any checks or triggers. and can only use 1 wait timer at a time. like you can't have 2 wait timers counting down at the same exact time. the later activated wait timer will reset the earlier and restart the countdown.

It's simple, really - except for Bootshine, each ability in that list can only be used while in a specific PGL stance. True Strike can only be used while in Raptor Form. If you're not in Raptor Form it skips it and tries to use Snap Punch instead. Snap Punch can only be used while in Coeurl Form. If you're not in Coeurl Form it skips that as well, and then does Bootshine.

Macros like this are essential if you want to put all of your abilities and attacks onto a single crosshotbar. As Faith noted, though, this kind of macro DOES sometimes fail, albiet rarely, and will use Bootshine even if it technically should have used Snap Punch or True Strike instead. Rarely or not, a PGL/MNK truly interested in maintaining perfection at all times will be reluctant to use a macro like this because of the occasional failure.

but aren't all those actions on the GCD? if so, then it is impossible that that macro actually works. it sure as hell don't work for me. i tried creating a macro to be lazy on FATE's. it was...

/ac "Heavy Swing"
/ac "Maim"
/ac "Storm's Path"


and i had gotten the same issue with the "cannot use yet." error. however the macro only properly executes Heavy Swing. because there is no wait timer, the macro tries to execute the next two actions while the GCD is still active. hence the error. it's obvious a wait timer is needed. the ONLY way that macro works for me is to spam it.

so ya... i fail to understand how such a macro works for anyone. you can't execute 3 actions at the same bleeding time.
