New DoH predictions?

Okay, everyone is talking about DoW and DoM, but what about DoH classes? Anything new that anyone wants to see added or think should be added?

For me:

Engineer: Used to create guns (for muskateer) and probably throwing explosives (cause thief are known to throw stuff, so why not?)

Inscription: Make glyphs and stuff that can be used to increase your stats, like food and potions do currently.

Anyone else have any ideas?

I see no reason to have any more other than maybe a Magitech one. However I plan on this be delegated to the existing classes.

8 DoH classes is more than enough.

I have several DoH 50s that are next to useless.
I'd rather see this fixed than more added.

I see no reason for anymore as the ones we have now are basically useless.

I have all at 50. Last I used CRP was to make some Spruce Pattons (or whatever the crafted i70 healer shoes are called) on order. Before that...I have no idea. ARM is used to make Steel Plates, BSM I use for metal ingots since I like the AF a lot (haven't made weapons in a while outside of turn-ins). WVR, GSM and LTW get some use, since they make mats for other DoH jobs, but still, haven't made anything beyond SB gear or MNK leveling gear (and a few i70 orders) on them in a while.

Only ones I use a lot are ALC (X-Pots) and CUL (food)...both making consumables, which forces me to use them again and again and again...

Well, prisms helped with that - there's a very, very consistent market for them.

But they're far from the central purpose of those classes, and they really do need more than that. Yeah, you can craft some iLvl 90 gear - but the reality is that anyone who has the money to just straight up buy iLvl 90 HQ crafted gear and then meld stuff to it... likely doesn't need it anymore.

I'm pretty sure that they won't make a basic functionality of a class (damage) dependent on consumables, they didn't do that with the ARC/BRD and won't with a new class. So it would be more in line with a secondary weapon which "spawns" unlimited supply.

That said, I don't think we need more DoHs before the current ones become more useful and integrated into the "main" game. At the moment, it's a rather closed economy - DoH make stuff for other DoHs, but as a whole, crafting is just a pretty self-contained thing which doesn't relate to the normal (DoW/DoM) game that much, besides the occasional Relic base.

Exactly - and it adds to my impression, that crafters only craft for other crafters, bei it DoH gear or iLvl 70/90 stuff for a crafter's DoW/M "alt" classes, because a crafter is probably able to afford them.

if there gonna be new DOH

its gonna be called "Gunsmith"

Name is obvious, Gun creator

If they ever decide to revamp the materia system; it'd be cool to have a DoH that's dedicated to crafting Materia.
