Petition to Get GMs to Take a More Active Role in Theft/Vandalism to FCs

I've seen several posts around complaining about FCs getting stolen from and the typical response from SE that there is nothing that they can do about it. And while I understand SE's side it's a bit ridiculous for multiple reasons.

-A large part of the problem is due to flaws in the rank/permission system.
-This is such a problem because SE won't do anything about it, people know that they can loot a FC before they server transfer and they won't ever have to pay for their actions so they just do it.
-There isn't a setting to limit the amount of items that can be removed from the FC chest tabs which would also prevent much of this.

Typically when people post about being looted or vandalized the response is to attack the victimized FC instead of saying anything to contribute to the discussion. In order to prevent this in this instance I will tell you that my FC was recently vandalized and looted. This happened even though we had the permissions for such things extremely limited (only 6 people in the entire FC had any kind of access to the options necessary for such action, only 3 people had complete access to the chest or the ability to promote, and only the FC leader has the option to modify rank setting), so this was not a case of poor privilege management.

tl;dr FCs get looted largely because SE won't punish the thieves. Post here to try and get them to take action.

As a responcible FC leader make differents rank with diferent accest. One that can mess around the housing, other for gardening, and such. For important stuff like gil and FC chest limit that to officers too. Make officers to deposit and take out from the FC chest item. For the gil always put for deposit only and make you, the FC leader, the only person that can take out. If ppl had that a lot of thos vandalist could had been avoided

Clearly you didn't read. Permissions were limited. And I don't particularly care about the gil there was minimal gil in there at the time, but this is a common problem for the reasons I listed. And would stop overnight if SE would take any kind of action even if it's just banning the offenders and not returning the stolen/destroyed stuff.

Right I didn't read. Most of what you listed that happen are limited depending how you puts your ranks in the FC. Poor management of the rank system is what make those thing happen. Most of the cases i had readed are FC that had an officer and something happen that that officer took everything and did a lot of damage to the FC. If you make the officers have accest to everything than that could happen to you. I just sugested that if you, as leader of the FC, manage those rank efective most of those cases could had been avoided. Dont blame SE for bad or poor management of your FC when those things happen if you have the tools to avoid them.

Ok seriously, why do people feel the need to blame the FC that was victimized every time one of these posts is made? There wasn't any mistakes in the permissions given (he didn't have access to everything). The thief was an officer that bailed our server cause it was low population. There were no warning signs, nothing. So before you act like you know the situation and pass judgement maybe you should try and stick to the spirit of the post? I don't care if the stuff gets returned I don't even care if he gets punished or not. What this post is about is the fact that SE is, by not acting on these instances, in fact encouraging them.

And even if it was a situation like you described are you saying that you think that kind of behavior is acceptable? Cause if that's what you're saying I'm gonna have to call you a liar.

Also because of the flawed rank permission system you can't even properly manage the ranks and distinguish them because basically you'd only have 3 ranks: Leader, rank with some permission, rank with no permissions.

It's simply an issue of mutual trust. If you trust a person enough to know they won't do that give them access if not don't.

Me and a few others recently left our old FC and the boss there before it happened dropped all our privliges becaues "OHH NOES they'll steal stuff". We put in such an effort into that FC that this didn't even cross our minds. What happened now. Well that person left as well... and he looted the shit out of it before he did. Yay for jackarses. Permissions don't solve human nature and never will. So trust the people that you giv permissions. If you don't then don't give them that permission.
