WTF WHMs?
WTF is it with most of you White Mages spamming Holy when there is just three mobs or less in the lv.50 dungeons? Yes, I have seen White Mages use Holy on just two mobs and even a single mob.
It's this way most of the time when I queue for Duty Finder as Bard. It's like you see a Bard in the group and you are all like "Ooh, Mana Battery!". To me you are just wasting mana.
When I see a White Mages start spamming Holy, I don't use Mage's Ballad till after the fight. At the next fight I turn it off. If they are still halfway or less on mana when we start the next fight, then oh well. They should of not spammed Holy on just two mobs. If the next fight is a boss fight, then I do leave ballad up a bit after the start of the boss fight if White Mage still needs some mana.

So.......? Are you still getting through dungeons okay despite this? If you are then I don't really see the problem besides the flashing lights and the loud noises given off by holy. I personally don't spam holy cause i'm always paro that the tank is gonna die, but if it's not on bosses then there's no big deal... If they run out of mana then they can just use shroud of saints to make MP regen faster between pulls. nottabigdeeeeal DPSISDPS

As a WHM i never ask for Mage's Ballad AT ALL! Even when I'm spamming Holy in a dungeon, I only ask for Foe's Requiem so we can clear the trash faster. I'll regen up my MP on the way to the next pull or, I'll use the smaller pulls to simply relax and regen mp.
Yes, I tend to use Holy a lot, and that's because it can do 1100 damage on each target it hits on crit. 700-800 on a normal hit. With Foe's Requiem it does even more than that! Most DPS i get the pleasure of being DF'd with are below i95 and aren't pushing the dps I'm doing on large pulls. As long as the WHM isn't begging for Ballad each pull and slowing down the run asking for mp breaks I feel its perfectly fine.

What is the issue?
Between mobs there is usually enough time to regain mana via natural MP regen, however you throwing up MB shouldn't really be an issue, please remember you are a support class. What you are saying is no different to me deciding "hey that dps could have dodge that hit or popped some CDs so I might not decide to heal him because hey maybe they just see me as a unlimited supply of health.
If the healer is keeping people alive and doing DPS at the same time, be happy they aren't just sitting there but are trying to speed up the run.
The reason for using holy on mobs regardless on number is because it does the most dps, stuns which in turn reduces the mob damage output.
Personally I dont ask for MB, I dont expect it so I manage my mana so I will always have enough.

I don't understand the problem unless your group died. Holy is love, holy is life. We could just stand there in between healing would you prefer that?

Personally, my priority order is:
1. If only 1~2 enemies, Holy once, then cycle Aero and Stone II spam.
2. If 3 enemies, Holy twice.
3. If more than 3 enemies, Holy spam until ~ 30% MP with SoS on cooldown.
Never have MP issues following this and I even throw up stoneskins on the last mob dying.

Yelled at if we DO damage. Yelled at if we DONT.
-
holy 3 times for full stuns,
continue holy if 2 or more enemies remain and mp is fine,
stone2 if 1 enemy has way more health than the other.
never run out of mp on dungeons

Just wondering what the deal was with the holy spamming. I don't have a lv.50 WHM so I didn't know. But it does seem like a waste when spamming it with only one or two mobs.
As a Bard I feel the need to use Mage's Ballad whenever I see a healer's mp at about half or less. When WHMs are spamming Holy it seems like I need to keep ballad up all the time so that they have mp to heal people.
After reading some of these comments I guess I won't be using Mage's Ballad anymore unless asked for.

I will use Holy whenever I feel like it, and honestly, if that offends you you're welcome to exit the dungeon and take the 30 minute penalty.
I also never run out of MP when I choose to Holy. So, why is it of your concern?
