Due to the increase in shard prices and the fact that gathering them takes forever, I think we should be able to decompose/break down crystals and clusters. Maybe crystals could break down to 5-10 shards and clusters to 20? Just a suggestion. Being that most RMTs/bots don't make it to high enough levels to gather these, it may be a way to help curb their activity.
This is just a suggestion because gathering shards is dreadfully slow when you're using up to 15-20 for one item.

Farm more? I don't know, but I never seem to be sort shards, crystals, or clusters. I just make one day all about gathering and don't even touch crafting that day. Usually lasts me a good while.
I go through over 10k shards/week, If I were to gather that it would take me almost 15 hours. That just doesn't seem worth it for level 1 items. Prices on shards have skyrocketed since 2.2 and the volume on the market board at any time is very low. I was hoping ventures would help solve this issue but they really don't. 120 shards per 40 mins + 4 ventures, there's really better things to send them to do. If you could break crystals into 5 shards for example, then we would be getting closer to reasonable returns.
