One-Time Password for gameplay vs Lodestone

I'd like to sign up for the one-time password with the token I received for my PS4 Collectors Edition game. I play at home via PS4 and check the forums and use the Lodestone while I'm away from home via internet. Question: After I signup and begin to use the token from my home to play, will I then need to carry the token with me when I access the lodestone via internet from a different location? The login screen seems identical so I'm assuming I will but I do not want to risk losing the token. So in short, is my ps4 actual game-play login different from the lodestone or are they the same? Sorry if this is a confusing question, I'm confused even writing it.

Yes, you will need the token. However, if you use a personal phone or laptop to browse the limestone, you can choose to stay logged in. Also, you can put it on your keyring with any other keys you need.

Yep, you are required to use the token to log into lodestone/SE account, and the official app. I downloaded the software version to my phone though so having it with me wherever I go isn't a problem.

Also - the logins to forums and Lodestone are cashed in the browser by cookies so you don't need to login every single time there, it's needed only for the Mogstation.
