T4 Black Mage tips
Hello, I know it's old content, but as there is no weekly cap, it may be a good place to obtain tomes, and also maybe some Allagan gear, which has the advantage of being usable for more than one class too.
Guides are mostly centered in tanks, positioning, etc. and of course the need of killing enemies ASAP.
Are there any important things to look at or special key moments or things to do?
Thanks in advance for the help.

Only attack Clockwork Soldiers, as Clockwork Knights reflect magic damage. Make sure to put your thunders on mobs that will be alive long enough for the thunder to tick all the way through, then switch back to the mob you were focusing before (differs according to party's strategy).
Just after the bugs, make sure you watch your threat so you don't steal the soldiers from the tanks. Not sure why but this has been an area where I commonly pull threat off of the tank if I'm not careful.
I usually kill the Rook first in the last phase, as BLM you can do a lot of the work yourself by having a swiftcast + convert and/or ether/eilxer to do a double or triple flare. Also watch out for the Rook's Pox move, you can run right through the Rook to dodge the attack. Between dodging Pox and using Manawall, you should be able to down the rook quickly without getting your ass handed to you.
Aside from that, it's pretty standard. Stay by yourself and you shouldn't get hit by any mechanics.

How I used to handle T4 pre 2.2:
Phase 1: Cast Fire III on a bug you won't get LoSd as the tank is gathering them together. Then go into your AoE rotation ending with flare, convert, swiftcast, flare. Bugs should be about dead here.
Phase 2: Pick a soldier doll and burn him down. I would use quelling strikes here to help out your tanks as they won't have much time to solidify aggro as both mages are laying into the soldier, and the other dps will likely be laying into the knight.
Phase 3: get behind the dreadknight that falls and burn him down.
Phase 4: Another big AoE phase. Depending on the dps in your party, you may or may not have convert back. If you get to the end of your AoE rotation and don't have convert, you can burn a mana pot for a 2nd flare, provided the bugs aren't dead.
Phase 5: Burn your quelling and kill the soldier. Then focus on the dreadknight.
Phase 6: Get off the dreadknight and help burn the rook down ASAP. Then hop on the damaged dreadknight and kill him off. Then depending on your pt strategy, you can do a couple things. We used to kill off the other dreadknight and then AoE LB the dolls/bugs. Other pts would kill off the dolls and feed the bugs to the remaining dreadknight and then just kill him. Its really up to the tanks and healers about how they feel comfortable handling the last part, but all in all, its not too tough.

pop CDs for P3 dreadknight - if you dont kill it before P4 starts = wipe (most of time)
pop CDs for P5 dreadknight - prevent Mt gets killed by double dreadknights (party with decent gears should be able to kill it right when the Phase 6 starts)

I use quelling for the bugs phase as I start knight and soldier phases with thunder 2. Save Raging Strikes for the first dreadnaught in phase 3 as that one absolutely have to die. Other than that, Nyne explains pretty well.
