ATMA Fate question

I'm going to sound like a real newbie here, but I was wondering if atma is possible to obtain at any fate, or is it only a certain type of fate? I've been running around doing every fate I've come across with no luck, including the ones where you just gotta kill a bunch of enemies. Is atma only collectable at fates that are bosses?

Any fate, but only in specific zones per atma you want.

Ok, so any fate, say, in north shroud for atma of the archer is fair game?
