Queue Times Are Excessive. A Suggestion ...

I am really getting tired of the 30min-2 hour+ queue times even as a healer. Keep it up like this and you won't have any players to even write new PvP content for. No one in their right mind will stick around to play 1 match that lasts less than 30 seconds. I renewed my sub recently only because I thought it had gotten better, only to come back and its gotten WORSE because you added a match-making system which made no sense to add at all because there wasn't enough PvPrs to begin with. Y u do dis? I don't understand. :confused:

Get rid of the grouping of PvP teams by datacenter and make all PvPrs available to all datacenters. Point blank. All people are doing is paying to transfer to other more active datacenters anyways rendering the datacenters they transferred from defunct and as more people do it, you're just going to end up with dead PvP datacenters. So save us $18 and remove the datacenter barrier. Even I am considering transferring yet AGAIN. FFXIV just does not have the large playerbase to separate players and you're just wearing the playerbase thin. Then, and only then, if there are too many players slamming the servers because of the rush of players, THEN add a match-making system. It's like you did it backwards and making it miserable for everyone.

They needed new sets to get people into pvp.
Matchmaking to keep the new people actually IN pvp, instead of 1 match and never queueing again.
Unfortunately it destroyed queues for the r30, who are now faced with repeating the same grind they have done before yet with much higher wait times while STILL being grouped with mostly new players. Making the matches feel like a roll of the dice thats over in 10 seconds.

I wonder how possible it is to merge all datacenters just for pvp after they went to all the trouble of you know, seperating them. Or how laggy it would become for melee and tanks. I dont get why people transfer and pay even more money for such things, at that point why not buy or play a FREE pvp game that actually has dedicated servers and under 3 min queues.

i'm not talkin about actually merging all the datacenters for the world content. i'm talking about just letting PvPrs able to play with other PvPrs regardless of what datacenter they are on. the datacenters will still be separate but the limitation removed for PvP queues.

If all these people who are wintrading actually queued for normal pvp we'd have reasonable queues.

not necessarily. due to the match-making system, if you are not the same/near the same rank as the people in the queue, you will not get matched with anybody and you will sit there in the queue until someone who is within your ranking does

Nope lol it'll increase it's range every few mins till it fills up all 7 spots.
I had a few almost full i100 dps go against me meaning they were like r34 + or so and i'm rank 16 along with other ppl who seem to be around me or lower as they r wearing either pve gear or some to full set of i70 gear.
May the healer who goes against these i100 dps be given mercy as hell knows no such thing when in a Q for 15mins + .

Not even funny, in the lower Qs they'd just have an advantage from experience and unlocked skills.

I'm rank 15 and I had a bard with almost full ilvl 100 pvp gear in my team
and another game I got critted by something twice in a row 1,2k and 1,4k. I died before I even had time to use benediction
