Tip for safest way to deal with Dreadnode + Brainjack combo ?

Hi, I have a little question, is there any safe way to deal with this Dreadnode and Brainjack combo? There are some little sensitive issue that could make a good PT fail easily when :

1. The person who support for brainjack get killed by Dreadnode AoE if he is too back. (since dreadnode will flip over when MT run to him)
2. The person who support for brainjack get killed by boss laser AoE if he is too front.

Since there is no marker to tell that person which exact spot is safe. He usually push little too front or too back often. As tank, I tend to use boss hitbox as a marker to mark my spot to be the same every run. So my first question is that where can that person mark his spot that is safe? Or any PT has good way to deal with this situation?



3. Also, on another question about Dreadnode. I usually only barely get enough hate they need just in the last sec before I got completely Brainjack, is this normal?

When dreadnode pop, it is usually proceed like this :
Atk buff -> Shield lob -> Shield lob -> Halon -> fast blade -> connect -> Halon (finisher right just before I turn to BJ.).
This sequence usually get enough hate for them to kill Dreadnode just fine, but sometimes if I were little slower by only 1 sec, then I will turn on BJ before combo finish. (Halon last hit), and that would make Dreadnode lose its hate before die, and turn to wipe PT. I feel that this is little too tight/sensitive, so I want to ask for any better way.

1.stat wise, u need to add more STR for threat and SKS if that 1 sec leftover is bugging you
2.the safe magic spot for whoever doin the brainjack is a little back off towards the party direction from the center of the boss hitbox (just remember titan ex's safe spot when he cast upheaval which is a little bit off his ass)

There are two ways to safely deal with brainjack in Turn 8 that I can think of:

1. Have two tanks! The large dps requirement in this turn may be daunting, but a warrior or paladin wearing +Str accesories and respeccing into +30 strength can easily pull 250+ in a fight while still being able to safely tank the dreadnaught.

2. Doing it with 1 tank requires that you speed up the dreadnaught tower in the following manner. First, you initially place 1 or two people in the tower to stagger the spawn timers. Secondly, you wait for a brainjack and just smash the boss till it ends. Finally, as brainjack is expiring you will immediately place 1-2 people into the dreadnaught tower to spawn it instanly after the brainjack ends.

Brainjack occurs once every 30 seconds during all of phase 2, so there are multiple ways to work around it affecting your tank's ability to hold hate.

My static team times it, so that we get a Dread into position just as Brain Jack is going off.
Single tank method, where I myself am standing directly under the boss until Brain Jack cast is completed. Once it completes, I wait one to two secs, take one step back which can turn the Dread yes.
Normally, the Dread is dying just about the time it is going to do a cleave, if not before. Homing Missiles go out, I pick them up off the group and move them away.
Wait for the next Brain Jack, and repeat ^^

Thank for the reply. It seem that the method that two person here post about getting Dread to spawn after Brainjack is different than what my PT use. Do you mind share the specific time line for that method? if anybody have. Currently, we do JP way, and actually not really have much problem with Dread before brainjack, but it is still risky, as that if I only miss by 1 sec, then everyone will wipe out. Also if the bard stay little miss on the spot, it also the same PT wipe up. We hope to reduce some risk here.

If you want to reduce risk, use 2 tanks. 1 Tank is risky, regardless which method you use.

I watch the aggro meters on the dreadnaught while brain jacked and let dps know in voice chat if they are to high, usually happens with our monk unless I get a perfect grab. He just switches back to Avatar and the rest of the dps finishes the dread.

Misunderstood the positioning part you where asking about in your first post, mainly, because I did not look to see you are the tank dealing with the Avatar and the Dread.

In my static, I am the dps distracting the Tank, or the person that the Tank goes to.
He will pull the Dread, backing himself up to almost where he normally stands tanking ( a little farther forward then normal I believe ) so that the Dread is NOT directly on top of the Avatar, but just slightly behind. This allows me to move directly under the Dread, with out taking the cleave from the Dread when he fires it off. Also, I am safe from the Avatar of course.
When Brain Jack starts, that will pull the Tank ( since he moves at me ) almost right on top of the Avatar, but not enough to make the Avatar change directions. This also leaves the Dread, in place facing the same direction.

If you are having threat problems, then change the stacking of the towers for that phase, so you get the Dread at a different spawn cycle maybe ? One that may give you more time before the Brain Jack kicks in.
Stacking towers does not need to be static, you can change it up through the different phases to work with your team better. What works for some, will not work for all. Some teams will push through faster, and skip tower spawns as well. It is all about finding what works best for your team.

Our tank stands as far in The Avatar's hitbox as possible, grabs hate on the Dreadnaught. Once the Dreadnaught is at him, he takes a few steps back as to pull the Dreadnaught further up so it won't cleave the Brainjack target, then moves back in while keeping the Dreadnaught facing away from the group. It takes some practice but once you have it down it shouldn't be an issue with the positioning.

Sounds about the same Orophin, just I pull the tank back to me with my position.
Yes, no matter how you do it, takes some practice and tweaking to get it to work, but doable
