Is there a mind cap

I doing my second ATMA book on my sch and just finished and it added the +2 to the book,
but my mind never went up at all. my mind is 222 but the weird thing is I happen to have my old 50 weapon put it on and it only has plus +7 mind but it raised my mind to 229.

You were probably in Cleric's stance, which swaps mind and int, and your old weapon added to int and mind.

222 sound like base int/mind levels.
