Second Wind CD should Be 30s

I find my self Tanking fates, one their are times when i do a lot of soloing and second its like 600 health back, while that is a good chunk, when their is a healer around, it useless when I'm alone. and 120s, two minutes. With if the fate I need for Animus spawns once a hour and I can get help, well am I SOL?

Well, it could be the fact your Second Winds are hitting Really low If you're a Main MNK, if you're a PLD or WAR you shouldnt need those heals to solo a FATE, if you are ACN then you have Psychic which can heal 400+ per cast. You dont mention what job you're going with so i dont know for sure, But if you're hitting only 600 Second winds, you should look into increasing your STR stat when soloing, as i understand it, thats the Modifier for it, on MNK im hitting over 1k normal and 1600 Crits. which is a large chunk for soloing.

You could also look into leveling your Chocobo up for Healer, it's healing and regen is more then enough to keep you alive for soloing a FATe on any class

Im Dragoon and Bard, and my strength is 517 on DRG and i just get 400-700 base and 740-1152 crit. its so week on dragoon, that its useless to when i am in big trouble. just run away or ask for help are my only options

Would be nice if more healers in FATEs would toss a regen or quick cure on whoever is tanking a FATE boss. I can't count how many times I've had to do the healing on SMN because the WHMs are too busy throwing their rocks.

But other then that I'm all for a cool down reduction on Second Wind

Ugh don't get me started on healers in fates... 3 ppl doing the fate or even 2... I'm on bard tanking the bloody thing, healer instead of giving me some healing when they notice I'm on 50% keep on dpsing until I die... then they get aggro and then they die or run away... clap clap clap

But yeah if it's physical only damage I mostly get Dodge... Dodge... Dodge messages(gotta love high dex) and I avoid AoEs. And I have featherfoot and keen flurry(hell they help a treat in t1 for feeding as well). With magical I will mostly die in short time without healing.

With second wind I tend to get 600+ without crit and 900+ with crit.

I know this doesn't work for everyone, but I've been able to solo fates as a melee due to having a healer specd Choco. It sucks if I'm trying to DF while at it, but if it means not dying sometimes I'll take it.

That said, second wind really does need a boost of some kind I think. Even in instances, I use it quite a bit if I either mess up or I'm not sure when the healer might get to me if everyone is taking damage. Either make it stronger or faster to use.
