Miner's Quest: My First Pickaxe isn't working...

So I'm level 16 now...and got permission to join other guilds and such, so the first one I joined was the Miner's guild. I got the pickaxe and gathering log, but when I go back to talk to the guildmaster for my quest, I get the red exclamation mark. It says that I have to be of miner class to accept the quest...which is what I *just* did.

Is this a bug or is there something I'm missing?

make sure you have the pickaxe equipped, as your weapon determines your current class

possibly might be saying you need to be lvl5 to take the quest too?

As said above - chain your main "weapon" / tool to pickaxe and your progress bar needs to change from lvl 16 [whateverclassyouare] to lvl1 MIN with zero progress acummulated as the progress is sepearate for each class.
