Supply and provisioning missions: There are pointlessly two different reset times.

So for the last few days, I've been doing all the supply and provisioning missions that are available.

I try to check in the morning before I go to work what the new missions will be for that day, but it seems there are two separate reset times for these missions.

(Note times displayed are in Mountain time, but I will be referring to Pacific time since that's what SE uses)

I took this screenshot about half an hour ago, at 6:42 Pacific time. I turned in my last supply mission last night around 9 PM Pacific time. As you can see, the "mission allowance" reset at 4 AM, which provides a new list of items to turn in. However the item list is empty for me because the actual daily allowance doesn't seem to kick in until later than this. The game will generate new items to turn in at 4 AM, but the game won't stop and say "okay, you turned in miner items yesterday, you're allowed to do so again" until much later than that (time unknown, I'm now at work).

Doesn't it seem reasonable that these two events should be happening at the same time?

I've noticed problems with this as well. The reset time for the missions seems to be late in the afternoon for me, and no where near any time that is listed in the allowance window. I tembers a Tim when I was lower level I had checked the list in the morning and spent all day getting and making the items, only for the whole list to change that afternoon when I went to turn them in. Rather a weird time to have everything reset if you ask me.

This has happened to me multiple times as well. It's not that the supply and provisioning missions reset at different times, it's that the whole list resets at a random time that has absolutely nothing to do with the date and time or the time remaining that are shown in the log. I've seen it reset at various times of day, both RL and Eorzean. It's reset when the time remaining showed over 10 hours to go, or as few as 2. I tracked it for a week RL after getting frustrated with wasting my time collecting items only for the list to reset, and I couldn't figure out how it works. All i know is that it definitely WON'T reset when the timer log states. :P

Resets always happen for me at 20:00 UCT, regardless of what the Timer's telling me.

If this was the case, this would be 2 PM my time. But that's not how it happens for me. Yesterday, I had someone check the list for me at about 11 AM or noon my time to tell me what was there, and I turned all of the items in at 10 PM. The list was still the same at that time.

Note that I don't doubt you! Just... obviously this is completely effed and needs a LOT more transparency....

I've only been doing these for about 3-4 days now so I haven't experienced the varying reset times you all mention yet. For me it seems to happen somewhere in the 8AM-11AM timeframe.

The Timer for GC missions is off and always has been. Prior to patch 2.2 it reset every day at 4pm EST. Now it resets earlier than that not sure when.

Actually anything on a 24 hour timer has been off since day 1 it was introduced. From their stated reset times. DR, Beastman Dailies,

That may be because Japan doesn't do Daylight Savings Time so that's shifted all the reset timers by an hour.

Yeah I'm not sure you read anything I posted. I took that screenshot at nearly 7 AM and the missions were supposed to reset at 4. That's more than the hour's difference that would be explained by a DST discrepancy. Others are reporting differences of more than 12 hours. Please read before replying so we can ensure constructive feedback is reported to the devs via the community team! :)

Perhaps I should have been clearer - yes, we know the mission timers are borked, they apparently only work properly on the Japanese servers. However the daily reset time is static and once you figure it out remains reliable.

Do they need to fix it? Yes. But until they do you can at least render it a minor inconvenience to yourself.
