Need WHM gear advice for TURN 9

Okay so I've been doing 2nd coil for about 4weeks maybe 3, and have not gotten a single piece of loot, so now I'm on turn 9 with 4450 hp, I've had to resocket my stats from 30 mind to 15 mind and 15 vit, which brings me to around 4600 range (with HQ mulled tea. [i would use pineapple juice but we just started progression on turn 9 and I don't want to be blowing that much gil until we start getting to phases near the end of the fight.]) not only that I have to use the Garuda tank ring to bring my hp pool high enough for the fight's standards, which is around 4800 hp I believe? I was an idiot and used all my solidery for jewelry and weathered weapon, so not much I can do about that..
I'm just wondering the requirements for whm in this fight?

I used to have 531 mind but with the vit upgrades it's been lowered to 490 ish. My mp sits around 4800. Which might not be a problem since there is a lot of downtime? Please help me out you turn 9 WHM's! :) would appreciate it.

I might be doing something really stupid so please tell me. Btw this is for my alt, not the character I'm writing this post with.

I just watched the vid cuz i'm no where near t9 but i do have a good idea on vit builds for whm lol XD
It's unfortunate if you don't have that sexy 2nd coil healer chest piece as it gives 41 vit i think :0
The specs aren't really that big of a deal if your gear is all i100-115 with a few i90s here and there.
With 30 vit + hq food, it should bring you easily past 5k hp.
The highest hp a whm could go is about 6.5-7k hp.
U'd need full i100+ right side, 30 vit specs & 4/6 2nd coil gear & i100-110 gear and an i110 or i115 wep.
But just curious why is vit concerning you?

Because there's a mechanic that can do around that much damage if you can't avoid it, so with 5.1k or so you can survive it.

Honestly your best bet to get more vit and sacrificing minimal Mind, is ilvl 70 Crafted Accessories. That and Pineapple Juice is very easy to make, if you guys don't have a person who can make all that stuff, you should get one.

Heh heh lol when healer's around the world will go like wtf i need more hp!! That's when the ball will be in my court ^^ XD
But also if you have little gil and can't afford to buy/ craft stuff then you might not be able to do what ispano suggested.

It's more so when you're learning the fight. Once you know it and can avoid said mechanics better, you can dial it back down. Also, when you're pushing progression content like this, even though you're not world first or anything, you're going to be spending money or time on preparation. That's one of the first things you need to be willing to do.

Most of our healers respec'd to 30 VIT or 20 VIT/10 MND. We also had some of us equip a right-side tank piece. That should bring you to >5000 with food and the VIT buff. Like ispano said, once you're more familiar with the fight you'll be able to dial back how much VIT you have.

And remember, it's around 5.3k EHP, not HP. That means you're taking stoneskin and galvanize into the equation as well.

Thank you for all the responses, I do realize that I'm going to need to spend money if I want any progress, and I am fine with that, I might just use pineapple juice anyway, I might resocket all into vit? Or 20 vit and 10 mind and using Garuda tank ring. Or just use some crafted gear and socket vit

I'm a Scholar, but I honestly opted to use Melded i70 Accessories over non meldable fending piece or switching my stats. Instead of losing ~24 mind for the 24 vit I needed, I only lost like 13 or something. I have 5149 HP with Risotto and something like 505 mind. A WHM with similar gear would have more mind obviously.

Ah so how many melded accessories did you use and which exactly? I assume that will vary depending on how much vit I will need.
