What do you mean by "won't work"? Won't read? error message?
Well, I would never suggest torrents because that would be improper. But if money isn't an issue, the game (at least here) is sold in the bargain bin for like $10.
When i ran the installer it get about hald way done and abort due to corrupt data im running it now to get the error message might take a minute.
Why would torrents be improper, even SE uses them for their patches. If he owns the game and the DVD doesn't work then why not. Also, even if someone would DL the game and not own it, they can't play it without buying the box for the key.
Toke a couple trys but this time the installer went through got the game updating now sorry for the inconvenience. = (
