I'm thinking about getting my Wife the Vita and had 3 Questions about it.
1. Do you have to use a security token to log in, or do you have to be signed into the game on the PS4 then start remote play?
2. what are pro's and con's of using remote play?
3. Can it play FFXIV like the PS4 (understandable if the resolution isn't as high) or would there be some technical restrictions.
Remote play streams the ps4 onto your vita not the game. Basically turning the screen into your tv.
Pro...can play while taking a poop. Cons none ive seen
the graphics do not change and plays no different then on the tv.
You would still need your token yes. The game is essentially exactly what your ps4 is you can launch remote play which sits you onto the home screen of your ps4 and you launch ffxiv like you would on your ps4 normally. You log in and play just the same though I would recommend if you plan to play on vita to change your controls to be a little more vita friendly (swap the l2/r2 and l1/r1 around so that l1 and R1 are the ones that you hold to use abilities and then disable the l3 and r3 to disable accidentally tapping the back pad and activating lock on randomly). I have had no issues even when playing over wifi from work with my ps4 at home. There is no noticeable lag when playing via networked mode to the ps4 and over wifi from another location while there is some lag it's extremely minor.
