I understand the need for the dungeon lockout I really do... But...
Entering a dungeon and getting wiped on the first pull is bad.
Getting wiped on the third pull is worse.
Getting wiped on the first boss is even worse.
Next pull wipe...
2 attempts on the 2nd boss... wipe and wipe.
Vote kick on the healer who continues to DC fails because DPS don't want to wait. Vote abandon fails twice because DPS don't want to wait.
There is a line to be drawn at some point you just have to leave... So I shall whine while I'm locked out for 30 minutes for leaving this mess.

so you have 2 choices, wait it out till people will leave, or leave and take the penalty. you have options and you need to weight whats best for your play time.
I will take the 30min timer and do PF groups (full party is not effected by DF lockouts), take a break and do something outside the game for 30min and come back when i can queue again. But to be honest, i dont need to drop that often as content that is likely to fail I will 99% of the time use PF where there will be no penalty if you drop.
to be 100% honest, with how fast people drop, I think the 30min penalty should DOUBLE every time you leave in the DF and take 24hrs from the previous leave to reset back to 30min. why do vote abandon fail, DPS have long waits and DPS is half the party, many times its better use of there time to simply wait and hope people stop failing. As a tank or healer the requeue after ending is fast so we dont mind vote abandon as we know we will get back in fast, and with luck be in a better group. When vote abandon fails, if the tank or healer leaves first, even with the penalty most times they get back in before the DPS will. -

Vote abandon is in place for situations like this. Sadly, if you lower the timer people will abuse it for things like Brayflox HM myth runs.

LOL, I don't see a major problem! Some games have an abandon Cool-down that goes for days! CSGO has a cooldown that could last 7 days! So 30mins is nothing really...

I think there's more to the 30min penalty than we know of.
I've left a couple of dungeons as the 1st person lets say at a rate of 1/100 dungeons and it never gave me a penalty after those leaves. -
