PS4 - Switching between active windows using the pad button

We use the pad button to select active windows, duty list, chat log, etc. right?

I like they way it can be set to select either to the left or to the right depending on which side of the pad button you press. However, it seems it is pre-programmed for the default HUD layout. Once you rearrange HUD elements, suddenly cycling through active windows becomes pretty random. Can this feature be improved so it takes into account the possibility that not everyone will leave their HUDs in the default configuration?
