Duty Finder and Home server players

I was wondering, since 99.9% of the stuff I do in this game is through Duty Finder with people who may or may not be from the same server as me, would it be possible to make it so you can distinguish weather or not some of your party members are from your same server? (maybe an Icon next to their name)

Pros:

It could encourage friendships with people you've met in Duty Finder.

This game wouldn't feel like your playing with people you'll never see again.

After the Duty Finder ends you'll be able to chat with people you just played with on your own server about how the run went.

If you find a good player you can invite them to your FC/LS or ask to join theirs.

Some people might be nicer knowing they'er Duty Finder behavior might impact their server reputation :p


Cons:

Some people may want to remain anonymous.



So what do you guys think? (I'll edit post if you guys come up with more pros/cons that I didn't think of)

Also, I'd love to have option to restrict DF to the my server for the same reason(s).

anyhow, to the OP here. Enthy, why not just ask them? or when you get out of the instance you can always use Player Search.

How did you decide he mis-read when the only thing he said about the original suggestion was "+1"? (His additional statement was prefixed by the word "also", indicating it was a new but related suggestion and not a rephrasing of the original one.)

I've occasionally asked about it if a party I like stops long enough to type anything. But if it shows up in the UI it would let us know whether stopping the run to talk about it is worthwhile, so I think more people would connect and more often. I like both Enthy's and Nesh's suggestions. Anything that increases the chances to make friends is an improvement for a social game like an MMO.

yeah i totally did not see the "also" part of his statement. i must have been half-asleep or something :/ sorry about that.


anyhow... the idea is good. i wasn't trying to knock it down or anything. but this sort of thing is a player inquiry. and literally takes like 5 seconds for the player to do on their own. not sure why we need a feature for this.

again... i am not putting the idea down. and i can understand why many people would enjoy this sort of implementation. it's just its usefulness is very minimum. the player would not have to go out of their way in any shape or form. and nor would it cause the player any inconvenience to do this on their own.

I just ran Sastasha yesterday for the first time and was in a party with not Level Sync'd players and it was a good party, we all worked well together. It would have been nice to see what servers those folks were on and if they were on my server, if I could have added them as friends right afterwords. I know you have a small chance of people being on same server, but it would have been nice to see that info.
