Main stat vs Morale calculation

Hello,

I'm a Marauder and I'm wondering at which point I should sacrifice STR vs Morale. For instance, I'm wearing the Weather Noct Lorica, and I'm wondering if I should get the i70 tank pvp chest. The tradeoffs for this one are:

Weathered Loct Lorica:
160 Armor
34 STR / 39 VIT
38 Parry
26 Accuracy

Warwolf Cuirass of Fending:
153 Armor
20 STR / 22 VIT
18 Determination
30 Morale

I have heard from multiple people that the i70 PvP gear will slightly edge out the i90 stuff, but I'm wondering about some of the i100 stuff and when its better. I also have these two pieces too:

Ribbon of Slaying:
16 STR
17 Accuracy
9 Determination

Warwolf Choker of Slaying:
9 STR
12 Skill Speed
14 Morale

Any help is appreciated on this!

That's a though one because without any materia and melds I would say the i100 chest would probably be better. I think the equivalent with i70 and i100 would be i55 vs i90

Anyone know anything about this?

It's pretty clear by now that SE does not want any in depth theory crafting in PVP, the whole mystery on how much benefit morale gives you is intentionally kept under wraps.

My rule-of-thumb is Any Morale piece accounts for approximately +20-25 ilvl's (+1 ilvl per meld).

An i70 PvP piece roughly equals an i90-95 PvE piece. It really then comes down to stat-allocation & pentamelding beyond.

Never downgrade weapon-damage however.

As well, an additional consideration comes in playing a Healer or focus-target (BLM)... the additional tankiness. In their cases, I would say it's more like +30-35 ilvl's.

I have almost got all the ilvl 70 gear now (except rings and stuff)
So far I have 78 morale but I also have 600hp less than with my main gear. Not sure which one is better. I play with the pvp gear for funsies though
