Tidal Wave Buckler?

Today, post patch 2.25 release (about an hour ago), on Leviathan Server, I received an i95 Wave Buckler for WHM. Per the patch notes and previous dev statements, i100 Tidal Wave Bucklers are to be dropping from Leviathan Ex. I even saw a Tidal Wave Buckler for WHM drop that run, so I know they have been added to the loot table, however the i95 version has not been removed. I seriously hope this is not "working as intended" and now, instead of making it more fair to these classes, *some* WHM and PLD still need four items and *some* WHM and PLD "only" need three items (both of which are higher than every other class needing only two items for the equivalent ilevel/power boost). If people who used a mirror to upgrade their shield prior to 2.25 get to keep their i100 shield AND get a mirror back to correct the acknowledged imbalance square initially implemented, this strongly implies that *all* shields going forward should be dropped at i100 level so people would only need to farm one mirror for their main hand. If not, then those people would be getting a free item (mirror) that others would still have to use to upgrade both items, if RNGesus only decides to drop them or lot them the i95 shield.

I am hoping this is truly an in game bug, and if so, I feel my shield should be upgraded to the i100, as it is what should have dropped for me today. Otherwise, I now have to farm four items like people pre patch 2.25 (the i100 shield to replace or a mirror to use on it, main hand, and another mirror for main hand), which you've already stated was supposed to be resolved.

Yes I'm very confused about this too.

I have also seen a non-Tidal CNJ/WHM shield drop today, AFTER the patch.
I even have this recorded on my PS4.

I already had a non-Tidal CNJ/WHM shield before the patch, and the shield was NOT upgraded to Tidal.

I don't understand any of this, I also hope this is a bug.

But seeing the RNG fetish route this game has taken, I wouldn't be surprised if they just come and say it's " working as intended "

Exactly. Why do those that were lucky enough to get a mirror and then CHOSE to upgrade their shield get a free mirror, when others that weren't so lucky to get a mirror pre 2.25 and have that choice are forced to still grind two mirrors? It seems those people were just rewarded for being lucky. I've had an FC member see two mirrors drop on back to back runs, while only three other people total in the FC have ever seen one. That person was lucky. Maybe this is me taking it to a bitter place, but it seems SE is just rewarding already lucky people with a free upgrade, and giving a big "screw you" to everyone else.

I've gotten the wave buckler today as well. I also saw a tidal wave shield dropped for a PLD. I hope they'd just remove the wave shield/buckler and increase the drop rate for tidal wave shield/buckler.

That makes the most sense with what they said they were trying to correct. Heck, it's what I expected to see today.
