Roulette and unresponsive bad player

This week, I've encounter at least 2 player per evening, while doing roulette, that I had/should have kick from PT. That is A LOT of people and possibly bad luck. They were all acting in the same way!

- Wont read, reply or acknowledge anything said in chat log.
- Really bad player
- Will aggro stuff
- Doesn't have a clue on strategies

Also, those player appears mostly in dungeons lower than level 50.

It suck cuz I want to teach them how to do stuff instead of constantly wiping and ending up kicking them from the party. Even gil sellers plays better than that.

But my question is, have any of you encounter these type of people in your Roulette lately? And, wtf?!

Do not give me the PS3/4 excuse because you don't need to reply to anything when someone explain the strategy in chat log.

EDIT: I'm talking about behaviour that looks like botting (not a human controlling the character). Please post your stories.

Or maybe you are just an elitist a-hole who is kicking less experienced players.

I only run the expert dungeons and sometimes the high lvl ones. The lower lvl dungeons are pointless now. But when I did run them I had no issues completing them with a random party. Maybe a bit more patience, or the newest players really do suck at mmo's.

Apparently there have been people botting during dungeons so maybe it's that?

There's no excuse to kick an unexperienced player in Low Level Roulette if he is not afk or offline. Period.

Yeah it can be annoying if that new player has an important role being the tank or heal, but thats just the reason why you get a bonus for your roulette.

From the style you are writing I would expect you are not a patient one.

I have run into some players who think spitting out an uppercase sentence like

I came across what I thought was a bot in Copperbell NM for one of my books, the CNJ in the group kept trying to say something to the GLD about why he's not using a particular technique and the GLD didn't acknowledge it, eventually after trying numerous times, me and the CNJ, to get him to acknowledge it all we got was a very random 1 word reply, can't remember exactly what the word was but it was totally unrelated to anything to do with the dungeon, then during the slime boss he died and went back to the start point, then he just stood there for about 6-7 minutes before we decided to boot him.

Exactly. I run into this when I tank lowbie roulette (levelin alt classes). I offer to give explanations and info before fights and someone will always do "avoid aoe, burn" then go.

Again, if you're kicking people from your dungeon because they're "bad", then that is a reportable abuse of votekick. Now, if said bad players told you off or went AFK on purpose, then you'd be justified.

That said, your tone in OP really isn't going to help you win me over here. I tank lowbie roulettes for a reason, and even if I get a "bad" player, they've been really good at taking suggestions/advice (provided I give it in a constructive manner). If you want a "Perfect run" then PF or stop rouletting. Roulette is a game of chance, after all.

For the record, those players may be "bad" because they're "new". I've even seen some players in 50 dungeons using "wrong rotations" and blah blah because they decided to grind first room of whatever, and never learned their class inside and out.

TL;DR: Kicking because they're bad isn't valid, and I'm guessing the "bad luck" you get is Karma.

I had an archer that wouldn't stop killing the bombs in copperbell (normal), she wouldn't listen to us and just kept killing them. It was kinda funny at first, but in the end I told her to go stand in the corner til the fight was done and strangely she did O.o

anyway. I figure the newer players come with the PS4 and don't have a KB /shug they'll learn soon enough I guess

Most of you guys jumped to conclusion I'm an impatient player or elitist. Even tho I pointed out I've multiple time wipe in those dungeons and explained to them the strategy. I want to teach them, not to kick them. But the problem is, they do not read the PT chat. I even ask in auto-translate, when I see they are unresponsive, I ask in what language I can communicate with them. I'm french, know english and japanese. I also belive in auto-translate. I simply don't get any reply at all.

I admit I'm, in general, an impatient and perhaps cruel person, but I think it's pretty irrelevant to what I'm investigating. I'm not here to win anyone's love.

I probably should have use another word than "bad" to describe them to some of you. Those people look like bots. It's beyond bad. But I can't accuse of botting, I got no proof.

Enough defending myself, I really want to know what's going on, if botting is real, cuz it sure look that way and it is really not an enjoyable feeling to get in a party. I love this game because it forces to teamplay with random player, it often lead to fun time. Bot are just frustrating, ruining the experience for me. The point in gaming is to have fun...right?!

To anything, anyone would say, even in auto-translate, even saying it's name, that kind of "player" wont respond. They simply stay around the PT and hit whatever the tank hit. I know we can win easily with only 3 player, and that it look funny and stuff, but, I'm not a big fan of bot, and it's why I started this thread.

I'm probably fighting against the stream: bot are and will always be present, gotta learn to live with it. I probably should just let them be and shut up, it would actually save me the trouble on justifying myself on this forum.

So yeah, if anyone else has story that look like botting, please post them. Just like Skyl1n3 did.

That bit of detail added in your last post and OP edit changes your story/thread goals significantly. Not trying to jump to conclusions, as much as internet skepticism (you know what I mean here).

In that case, I can't say I've seen dungeon botters, but I'd bet it's people being on autopilot, where you put on Netflix, mash 1,2,3, and just hit the tank's target. Once you run a dungeon enough, ya get lazy.
