PS3 and PS4 play together?

I'm new to all this and wondering if PS3 and PS4 players can play online together. I'm asking because if so, I could buy another disk and two of us in the same household could play together.

Hello :) To play together, you have to have 2 seperate accounts & subscriptions.

Sadly you cannot login to the same account at the same time on different consoles/PCs.

PS3 and 4, as well as PC, all play together. It doesn't matter what platform you're on, but as mentioned already, to do what you want to do requires 2 separate accounts.

Thanks for the help! We have two PS3s and a PS4 so, three of us could play together on different accounts. That's awesome!

Keep in mind you will have to buy 2 PS3 versions of the game if you want to have 2 PS3 accounts. Think of buying the game as buying the "license" to have a character. Also all three accounts will need separate SE and PSN accounts.
