Very brief patch notes. Nothing changes I guess. lol

well it was just a small patch before big patches we will get another (2.28) which will have more stuff (not alot) but a small amount more coil echo buff, the next part of the animus quest, maybe something more?

2.3 is what i am excited about! but i say that about all the patches XD!

You didn't miss much. Basically just new PvP armour, materia transmutation (turn 5 useless materia into another useless materia unless you get lucky) and minor adjustments (echo buff .. buff, certain items removed from quick venture loot tables, bug fixes, etc.).

Only if you use useless materias as basis, I guess

Well, unless there is special materia obtainable only through transmuting, I'm not sure why you would try transmuting useful materia. You would probably, you know, use it (or sell it).

The transmutation thing seems like it gives you a chance of turning your mostly useless Elemental resistance materia into something substantial provided the results don't suck too.

Point being is:

why no patch notes in forum instead? XI still use that, the old 1.0 does use that. If lodestone going for maintenance, at least make that important notice available to read. :p

Patch 2.25 will introduce new ranks and rewards to the Wolves' Den, the next phase of the Echo in the Binding Coil of Bahamut, and much more.
Event
A new quest has been added.
Quest Required Level and Location
Marvelously Mutable Materia Level 19
Central Thanalan (X:23 Y:14)
NPC: Kokosamu

The strength of the Echo granted in the Binding Coil of Bahamut has been increased.
The Echo will take effect upon entering the Binding Coil of Bahamut, increasing players' maximum HP, damage dealt, and healing magic potency by 15%.
* Unlike other instances, the strength of the Echo will not increase upon total party incapacitation.
* The Echo will not be applied in Turn 3.
* The strength of the Echo is scheduled to be increased two weeks after the release of patch 2.25.

The Tidal Wave Shield and Tidal Wave Buckler have been added as rewards to The Whorleater (Extreme).
Players who have already used a Mirror of the Whorl to upgrade a wave shield or wave buckler prior to patch 2.25 will be compensated with an additional Mirror of the Whorl.
* These mirrors will be distributed via the moogle delivery service after the release of patch 2.25.

Players who have completed the quest "A Relic Reborn" in Version 1.0 can unlock the Hydra and Dhorme Chimera trials at the following locations:
A Relic Reborn: The Chimera - Coerthas Central Highlands (X:32 Y:7)
A Relic Reborn: The Hydra - Eastern Thanalan (X:14 Y:30)

Ventures have been added as rewards for treasure hunting.
The number of seeds obtained through intercrossing when using Shroud Topsoil has been adjusted.
This adjustment is intended to ensure balance with the number of seeds received when intercrossing using Shroud Topsoil in comparison to Thanalan Topsoil.

A system message will be displayed when Challenge Log entries near completion.

Battle System
The maximum PvP rank has been raised to 40.
New PvP gear has been added.
The following PvP gear can now be purchased from the Storm Private and Storm Sergeant NPCs at Wolves' Den Pier (X:6 Y:5)

I Got a Good Materia Obtain a high-grade materia through transmutation. -

The average waiting time for Melee DPS and Ranged DPS will now be displayed separately in the Duty Finder.
Treasure maps and Trials of the Braves books can now be viewed while mounted.
Certain furnishings can no longer be obtained via quick exploration ventures.
This adjustment is intended to ensure balance in the distribution of materials and items related to high-level recipes introduced in patch 2.2.

To reduce system load when scaling the chat log window, the maximum number of lines displayed has been adjusted. (PlayStation®4).

Resolved Issues
The following issues have been addressed:
An issue wherein players could not complete the quest "Highway Robbery" under certain conditions.
An issue wherein players would remain level synced after a FATE had ended.
An issue wherein the Rotten Stench ability would deal reduced damage under certain conditions in the Second Coil of Bahamut.
An issue wherein the following items could not be delivered for Expert Delivery missions:
Lapis Cross / Aquamarine Cross / Emerald Leaf / Emerald Bough / Gold Scales / Platinum Scales / On the Properties of Beastmen
An issue wherein no animation was displayed when using the item Cherry Confetti.
The parameters for Gloam Boots have been corrected as follows:
Before: Strength+24 Vitality+28 Accuracy+18 Skillspeed+25
After: Strength+24 Vitality+28 Determination+12 Skillspeed+25
An issue wherein the game client would crash when opening the Fishing Log.
An issue wherein the game client would crash when repeatedly changing areas.
An issue wherein retainer names would occasionally display incorrectly during a retainer venture.
An issue wherein direct chat would not function properly even when activated in the Character Configuration menu.
An issue wherein the game client would forcibly close when using Teleport or Return. (PlayStation®4).

Too bad launcher kinda buggy on XP system, though it's not supported by SE anymore.

Anyways, game's live now. So i'm gonna find out myself.
