Companion menu will not open

About a week ago I was in Couerl with my character Tomas Creo and had the wind up airship equipped. It disappeared then when trying to reopen the companion menu the companion menu will not open with "That command is unavailable at this time". I am on PS4. It also appears to not function across all my characters as I have tried to create a new character to see if it will function and the same thing occurs. This doesn't seem like a bug as creating a new character on a new world should have caused it to function. Is there something that is wrong here? I just bought the game brand new and am disappointed that it is not working. Can someone please give me information regarding this?

The Wind Up Airship should be in the "Minions" menu. Companion will unlock once you are able to summon your Chocobo to fight alongside you. Hope this helps!
