SCH woes on 2.2 gears..
Head, Gloves, Armor, Legs = Daystar.
And we have usually least priority for sands. Woe is me..
I did pentameld head, gloves, legs though. And bought pants, but probably won't unweather it..
Edit: Nope, no crit glove. Guess I'll stick to my saurian for now until I get lucky with allagan..

It will just take some time, but if you're clearing T6-8 on a weekly basis, surely you'll get yours done sooner or later. Of course, most groups will have DPS be top-priority, though. Personally, I don't really mind the idea of being decked out in i100 with great itemization and just getting upgrades slowly. It's a team effort and given how this game and healing in general works, the healers don't have so much priority. Just think about it from the point of view that you need to be more skilled and utilize your stuff properly, as opposed to brute-forcing through DPS-checks and making stuff go more smooth, I guess. I also like the fact SE is not just handing out i110 BiS just like that, over the counter. Makes for more rewarding times when you actually do get your upgrades.

IMO, for a crit build I think much of the BiS is not ilvl 110 and some not even i100 (ex: gloves, neck). I like crit build for my sch, but to max crit I would have to sacrifice too much mnd and vit. Crit makes my succor much stronger and 1/4 chance to crit aldo is also nice. I feel in order to use the i110 gear I will have to build a mnd/SS/pie build were I spam physick while occasionally throwing out weak aldo and succor. I am probably wrong but this is what I am seeing.

A lot of these new fights don't seem as heal intensive as they are DPS intensive, so I don't mind *too* much. It would be nice to be able to improve my gear, of course, but if we're downing content faster/more easily then I'll pass on sands since neither I nor the WHM are having too much trouble healing through everything for now.

Daystar is just terrible. I'm not sure I could have come up with a worse "upgrade" if I was trying. Full daystar would cause me to lose about 500 mp right off the top, which is kind of a big deal for WHM. Almost every piece is poorly itemized to the point that I don't even really want them. The only upside is that this frees up my soldiery tomes to buy the Yagrush, the only actually good weapon for WHM. God help any WHM that isn't clearing Turn 7+ regularly.

It's only you that's have least priority for sands. I know 2 groups in my server that gave the 1st sands for SCH/WHM.

Hmm, I might be looking at things differently cause I proposed that sands are either tank armor or the DPS 110. Not that we've won T7, still bashing our heads on it but still, I'm just thinking how impossible it'd be to chase my desired crit build before 2.4 hits. Which isn't too bad really, cause I find the pentameld 90s pretty satisfying when going for a crit build. Then I'll farm T6-9 with the DF at 2.5, perhaps.

I don't think most groups are giving priority to DPS for all Sands, or anything, so much as it is that most groups are giving priority to upgrading weapons with Sands, before giving them to people to upgrade their armour - and since most groups are (wisely, I think) giving Unidentified Allagan Tomestone priority to DPS before tanks or healers, at this point they've probably almost all gone to DPS for most groups. Once you have the i110 weapons, though, there isn't really a pressing reason to do the DPS any more specific favours; they've got everything they need to be able to do their part in pushing progression, and Sands at that point are just going to be making lives easier, no matter who they go to.
