Endgame Healer Legs

Have been doing research on eventual gear once my FC downs BC2 Turn 4. One thing that I feel needs to be changed is the stat allocation for either one of the i110 pants. As a whm, I tend to stay away from crit and switch between det and SS for fun. Both pants have crit while one has that and SS.

Does anyone know if this was done to make a general BiS for both healers?

Daystar Breeches are BiS for WHM.

Whilst both High Allagan and Daystar have crit, Piety is a greater priority for WHM than Spell Speed.
Neither are ideal for what we'd want though...

Daystar:

• 39 MND
• 41 VIT
• 8 ACC
• 41 CRT
• 22 PIE

High Allagan:

• 39 MND
• 41 VIT
• 8 ACC
• 41 CRT
• 29 SS

Opinion: WHM got shafted patch 2.2 for obtaining BiS... It was similar in 2.1, SCH had an easier time buying their BiS with Myth, but it wasn't as bad as it is now.
Neat thing is we can buy Daystar pants though!
(I'm still keeping Cleric's until I can upgrade my Daystar)

Sadly there's no breathing room to choose between SpS and Det so you have to take what you can get when you can get it

For me I would choose the High Allagan pants. As a whm I dont have much of a problem with mp and that 22 pie wont make iit or break it. I like to have SS on my whm, the best would be Det and SS but they dont exist.

It's not like Scholars are getting all the luv, though. We want crit, there are no i90 head or boots with crit. We get head and boots now, but this time around there are no i110 rings or gloves or necklace with crit, for example.

I guess all we can do is speculate, but from what I've seen, there still is no one BiS set for both healers. As a Scholar you wanna build up your crit rate with a mix&match of daystar + allagan, White Mages pretty much just pick all the opposite pieces to avoid crit. Some rare pieces like the only 2 rings are BiS for both, but most pieces suit one more than the other.

Ignore BiS babble and wear High Allagan Stuff only (except for the second ring obv.) to show off that you mastered SCoB as well as you punished the RNG gods to let them drop in your favor. :)

The only noticeable difference between a full high allagan set and a full PIE set is between PIE and SS, crit and det stay almost the same:

So IMO you can go with whatever you want. This little of a difference doesn't decide between fail and success.

Unfortunately (or not, I guess) BiS lists don't mean much. Most gear has such little difference, that it's pretty much just use whatever you get your hands on THEN worry about replacing stuff later.

You will have anyway almost full high allagan set before you can upgrade your 2nd/3rd soldiery item to 110.
So the BiS for ANY class will be pretty much almost full high allagan set + soldiery ring (+ the 1, 2, maybe 3 soldiery pieces who you can upgrade to 110).
Even if you have T6-T8 (lets not talk about 9 for now..) in farm every week, if its fair, you will get 1 oil/sand every 2 months/8 weeks.
