German Q&A Translation

Okay, so the official translation is not up yet, but the initial german version is, so I might as well translate everything that seems important to me ;) I can't promise the translation will be 100% accurate and I can't promise that some question were already in the english Q&A, as I didn't check all of them xD

There were a lot of basic questions that are not really important, so I will stick to the stuff that people prolly want to read about ;)

What's the most interesting thing you worked on at Final Fantasy XIV?

A: That's a tough question to answer. I would say right now it's the Chocobos, cause we are already working on their design(laugh). We work hard on their implementation and I got a good feeling about that. And although I'm aware of it that it takes a while, I hope everyone has a little bit more patience and is looking forward to them, cause we worked really hard.

A: Hmmm, maybe when I read the comments of angry players on the forum. Mistakes and lack of information are my fault and I take the responsibility for that, therefore I can only learn of that. Still I'd like to ask everybody to not get insulting and keep the discussion factual.

What do you do in your freetime?

A: I lpay FFXIV, watch movies or play baseball. Stress builds up really fast as I don't have much freetime(laugh).

A: I play it even if I don't have time.

A: You shouldn't be allowed to say that...but an average day of work is around 14-16h for me. As I need another 1h30min to get here, I don't have much time to sleep(laugh)

A: Yes, as it is already on the plan, it will be implemented for sure, although it will take a while. The implementation will be step by step, so please be patient til we're at that point.

Will there be Chocobos and Airships?

A: Yes, they will both be implemented in 1.19 so please support keep on supporting us.

Are there gonna be quests you have to complete, for example to get the airship pass?

A: Yes, that is planned. You will have to complete a quest and invest a certain amount of gil to be rewarded with the airship pass.

It was announced, that areas in FFXIV will be re-designed. Does that effect the geography as well, or only the design?

A: Both, the topography and the design will be redone. Some areas will change drastically and I look forward to the discussions and speculations around it.

Will there be more quests for classes, or will it stay at the current 3?

A: We plan on providing more quests for classes, but there are so many things we have to take care of first, that I think this has to wait til Jobs are implemented.

Will you introduce more monster types?

A: Yes, we will introduce more monster types with the implementation of Beastmen Strongholds. And we want to introduce more monster types that fit well into the style of Final Fantasy. Cause of the high quality of the monster models, it will take a while before we can implement them, but I hope you look forward to them nontheless.

Quote:

Do you still plan to release a PS3 Version of FFXIV?

A: Of course. The release is not cancelled and the dev team is working on it, so don't worry. A PS3 version will be released, no matter what.

Okay, so that's it, a lot of the quesiton in the german Q&A were the same as in the english Q&A, prolly cause they were already implemented in the german translation, but I hope there was still some "nice information" new to anyone in here :)
