8 Man Trials - Does it usually take this long?

I am not sure if this is the right place for input this but I assume it is.

Im currently in the mainquest of Operation Archon which means i need to use duty finder for Cape Westwind Trial. I have been waiting for 330 Minutes now and it says the average wait time is 18 minutes. Yesterday i waited for 3 hours and the day before around 2 hours. Is this normal?

I cant carry on with the main quest if i dont complete this. I know i can do other stuff while waiting but for how long?

I'm not sure how long the wait is... but yes. It is normal for HUGE wait times for that particular trial as there is no reason to run it more than once (no reward) ... the best way to get it done is either use Party Finder or shout out for help in a LS or FC ... it take 5 mins to finish and most people are happy to help

Unfortunately that's no too surprising. It's a bit of bad design on SE's part really. It's supposed to be an introduction to 8-man content so it's just a simple boss fight. Problem is there's no incentive to ever run it again once you pass it and it's not on roulette. If it's any consolation you won't be waiting long on the next two story 8-mans. In fact you'll likely get a group who face rolls it so fast you'll have a hard time keeping up. If you watch cutscenes you'll find yourself wandering alone through an empty dungeon that's been cleared in front of you lol. That's what happened my first time.

I was under the impression it wasn't on roulette. I've run the story roulette a ton of times now and not once gotten it.
