Boss Attack Names in Auto Translate Please

To: UI Team,

To help encourage a better synergy between FF players around the world, can you:

• Please add all Boss Attack Names to the Auto-Translator.

This doesn't have to be for every enemy, just the Bosses in the End Game Raids (Primal EX, Coil).

It would go a long way to helping foster better communication between players. Each Boss only has a few special attacks, so it shouldn't amount to a lot of words to translate (nor additional memory).

Having read the 2.3 Patch Notes, while I'm happy the dev team has taken time to add in all the Mounts into Auto-Translator, I hope they can take the time to consider adding in the various End Game Boss Attacks and their Adds to the Auto-Translate.

It's great that in 2.3, we can now Auto-Translate our "Coeurl Mount" or "Fat Chocobo," but I think to help our Global Community of Players better *communicate* with each other, wouldn't End Game Boss Attacks Names be far more important and useful? :confused:

How would adding these help bridge the language divide? What are players going to do? You can't explain what each move is, what it does, and how it functions into the mechanics of the fight... for example... the fireball phase during the Twitania fight. Using the auto translator, explain the mechanics of this phase. You do realize there are terms like "soak party" that don't correspond to anything even in this language? How about terms like "DPS check", "Aggro", "LoS", "RNG", "BiS" etc. This is called "slang."

You can't just stick words into a "auto-translator" and expect that the exact same terms exist in every other language. Language evolves independently on it's on.

@ Laraul: So your solution is just NOT have any auto-translation help? That's pretty myopic.

Of course we may not be able to explain everything in full detail, but having important attack names in Auto-Translate absolutely can help out in many instances. For example:

* {Weight of the Land} {Gather together.} - For the times that someone might be standing off on their own and spreading out the WOTL all over the arena.

* {Leafstorm} / {Acid Rain} {Gather together.} @ A (Mark) - To tell everyone to gather during Rafflesia fight at a certain point on the map during Acid Rain or Leafstorm (this is a big reason the fight gets wrecked (when people don't understand and spread out and end up causing the Slimes to spread out all over).

* [Player Name], {Rolling Thunder} {Stay there.} - When you designate that player who has Rolling Thunder to be the one that's stationary, and the other person chained can go around and gather.

* {Chaotic Strike} {Gather together.} @ B (Mark) - To explain for anyone with Chaotic Strike to gather at a fixed point to be cleared up by others.

Yes you might not be able to explain everything, but I've been in JP parties where they'll use Google Translate and limited Auto-Translate to help others (and vice versa). People are already making an effort. Adding Boss Attacks into Auto-Translate can ONLY HELP. If you don't want to use it, that's fine. Plenty of other players would find it useful.
