anyone know how i can use the mount i have?

after using the item in your inventory it should be in your skills section. click mounts and click the mount you want to use

i found it in the actions and traits bit but says im unautherised to summon it, any idea what im doing wrong

You need to get further into the story line until you get the company chocobo. Then you can use any mount you have.

Not too far. I seem to remember being around level 20 when I got it. I dont remember if level 20 was the requirement or not. Should be right around there if you stick mainly to the story and maybe some hunting logs.

Level 20 is a requirement to proceed that far in the story.

you can purchase it. after you join a GC, which is a level 20 main story quest.
